This basically says it all. We went to Santa Clara; we weren't swimming at this point. You'll see why. We went with all the missionaries staying at Arnie and Cheryl's guesthouse and the Straws and the Kings. It was fun.
That's incredible. To see the power of the water and the size of those logs is really impressive. I'm glad no one was crazy enough to be in the water at that time!
That is so freaky! My first thought was, "OH MY GOSH, THAT'S A WHALE!!" but then I realized that they were logs, not whales or seals, and that in fact seals probably don't live in your neck of the woods. I really love and miss you, Jess! You should post some pictures of yourself and your surroundings... (namely, people surrounding you...)
